Carson Len Dodson, Sr., age 92, of Rodessa, LA (formerly of Hermitage, AR) died Sunday December 6, in Rodessa, LA. Born April 16, 1917 in Timbo, AR, a son of the late Collie Ceco Dodson and Dona Gibson Dodson. He was a U.S. Army veteran, former member Civilian Conservation Corps., member of Saline Baptist Church and the widow of Louise Manees Dodson who died April 2, 1993. Also, preceding him in death were sons C.L. Dodson, Jr., Claude Glen Dodson, daughter Sandra Fay Dodson Renuard, 1 grandchild and 10 siblings. In 1952 he moved to Monroe/West Monroe, LA, where he established and operated Dodsonís Tomato Company. Upon retirement, he moved back to Arkansas where he remained until the past 14 months when he moved in with his daughter and son in law in Rodessa, LA. Survivors are 3 daughters Carol Flanders, Magnolia, AR, Bonnie Dickens, Hermitage, AR, Dona Hodge Rodessa, LA, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday December 10, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Graveside was 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 10, at Edgewood Memorial Park Pavillion, North Little Rock, AR., by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Carson Pennington, Keith Renuard, Tom Renuard, Rick Renuard, Louis Manees and David Manees.
