Obituary:
Rachel West Groves, age 75, of Warren, AR died November 26, 2009 at the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1934 in Warren, AR, a daughter of the late Vester L. West and Muriel Sipes West. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. In earlier years, she worked at Martinís Department Store and Catoís Department Store. Also, preceding her in death was one brother, Billy Ray West. Survivors include her husband, Herman Groves of Warren, whom she married in 1950; one son, Ricky Groves of Warren, AR; one daughter, Mindy Smith and husband, Billy of Woodlawn, AR; one brother, Don West of Sumpter, AR; one sister, Merciel Binns of Little Rock, AR; five grandchildren, Marty Groves, Chris Groves, Jody Groves, Tristian Smith, and Andrew Smith; two great-grandchildren, Shianne Groves and Katelynn Groves. Funeral services were 1:30pm Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Victor Hunter, Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Billy Wilson officiating. Organist was Linda Barrett. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Eddie Groves, Wade Groves, John Groves, Dewayne Adair, Jeremy Groves and Ronald Dean Adair.
