Emery Reynolds “Jack” Hollingsworth, age 83, of Hermitage, Arkansas died Monday, January 3, at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1921 at Gravelridge, Arkansas a son of the late Samuel Lewis Hollingsworth and Minnie K. Reynolds Hollingsworth. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Antioch Baptist Church, a 32 degree Mason and a 50 year member of the Hermitage Lodge F&AM and a welder and master mechanic. He married Lucille Braswell Hollingsworth on July 20, 1938 and she died September 11, 1995. Surviving are 2 sons L. E. “Gene” Hollingsworth, Pine Bluff, Ark. and Earnest Ray “Red” Hollingsworth, Hermitage, Ark.; 5 daughters Vivian Outlaw, Clinton, Ark., Patricia Lusk, Prattville, Ala., Kay Taylor, Rye, Ark., Glen Rose Clay, Sheridan, Ark. and Beth Bellinger, Melbourne, Fla.; 2 sisters Gertie Boyette, Warren, Ark. and Lucille Brooks, El Dorado, Ark.; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. 3 brothers J. L. Hollingsworth, Little Brother Hollingsworth and Sam Hollingsworth, Jr., a sister Esteen Powell and a grandson Jordan Brueckner also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 10:00am Friday, January 7, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev. Billy Wilson, Rev. Roger Kelly and Rev. Wayman Mann. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Tammy McKissic and Jeremy Clay sang. Burial with Masonic Rites was in Gravelridge Cemetery near Hermitage by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Darren McKissic played taps. Active pallbearers were Joel Hollingsworth, Jeremy Clay, Tony Clay, Stephen Taylor, Allen Taylor and John Hankins. Honorary Pallbearers were Donny Rice, Cecil King, Darren McKissic, Clyde Temple, Curtis Howard, Baker Peebles and Jay Jacobs.
