Obituary:
Martha Childs Babel, age 93, of El Dorado, AR. died Saturday October 3, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR. Born November 3, 1915 at Banks, AR. a daughter of the late James Lafayette Childs and Mattie Ederington Childs she was a retired sales person at El Dorado House, member First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, the widow of Floyd Babel who died in 1978. They were united in marriage June 1, 1941 at Arkansas City, AR. Also, preceding her in death were brothers James Lafayette Childs and John Childs. Survivors are 2 nieces Elizabeth Childs, Little Rock, AR., Margaret Salvesen, Cape May, New Jersey , a cousin Kay Childs Travis and spouse Johnny, Fordyce, AR and a host of special friends. Memorial service was 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 10, First United Methodist Church, El Dorado. Graveside was 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 10, Childs Cemetery at Banks, AR. by Rev. Kay Childs Travis and Rev. Johnny Travis. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Memorials preferred John R. Williamson Hospice House; 2301 Champagnolle; El Dorado, AR. 71730.
