Retha Juanita Savage Kight, age 87, of Warren, AR. died Friday August 14, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born April 25, 1922 in Bradley County, AR. a daughter of the late Francis Lafayette Savage and Cali Carolyn Sipes Savage she was retired from Jack Winter, a homemaker, member Immanuel Baptist Church and the widow of Frank Kight who died January 19, 2001. They were united in marriage April 30, 1938. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Jerome Savage, Tim Savage, Ladane Savage and Joe Savage, sisters Ruth Waterfield and Marca McClain. Survivors are 2 daughters Brenda Kight Lasiter and spouse Marvin, Warren, AR. Pat Kight Johnston, Monticello, AR. 2 brothers Carl Savage and Kenneth Savage both of Warren, AR., 3 sisters Vashtie Yorkdale, Warren, AR., Roberta Smith, Warren, AR., Trina Hicks, Little Rock, AR. 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 16, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. David Richey officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and the Immanuel Baptist Church Choir sang. Burial was in Adams Singer Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Scott Johnston, Todd Johnston, Joe Don McClain, Heath Kight, Pete Houston and Kenneth McClain. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Savage, Kenneth Savage and Louie Dennis.
