Message: Mary Jane,Robbie, Becky and Rhonda: I am truly saddened to hear that Rochelle(Shelly, as I used to call her) lost her battle with cancer. Praise be to God that we have Victory in Christ. There are no words that I can say to comfort you. I will say that I do love all of you and I have some great memories of my childhood that were spent with your family and mine. From the many, many, many sleepovers we used to have, singing and dancing to Rod Stewart 'young hearts' and using the little tennis racket shaped drink coasters for microphones, playing on the bunk beds, getting up on Saturday morning and cleaning house(cause that was the designated day for that sort of thing and somehow i didn't mind because it wasn't my room i was having to clean.haha). Also, those summer sundays after church when we would all get together and go swimming down at Moro Bay. We would swim as hard as we could against the current of the river and loved to listen to our moms and dads brag on how strong we were. I will also never forget the day that Mr. Jim and my mom kept my dad from drowning. Shelly and I shared alot of firsts, shaving our legs, having babies, etc. And then it seemed like when we got older and married and out on our own we lost touch. We just get so busy in our lives sometimes that it is hard to do it all and keep up with everyone. I do regret that now. I want you all to know that you are in my prayers. It is hard to see through the grief, but grief is something that we should go through. It is part of the healing process. I look forward to seeing Shelly one day in heaven. Oh what a day that will be. God Bless You All. Love and Prayers
