Obituary:
Doris Jarrett Greenwood, age 79, of Warren, AR. died Saturday March 28, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Born September 6, 1929 in Cleveland County, AR., a daughter of the late John William Jarrett and Thelma Sanders Jarrett Bradley she was retired from Southwestern Bell, the Warren Public Schools Day Care, member Central Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Charles Leon Greenwood who died February 28, 1998. They were united in marriage October 28, 1950. Also, preceding her in death was a step father Robert Bradley, a brother William David Jarrett, a sister Mary Sue Ballentine. Survivors are 3 daughter Vicki Stanley, Hermitage, AR., Dixie Young, Independence, MO., Pam Spraggins, Rogers, AR. 1 brother Robert “Bobby” Jarrett, Biloxi, MS., 1 sister Eloise Bancroft, Ovid, MI., 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Monday March 30, Frazer’s Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Carter officiating. Soloists were Janet Harton and Brook Harton. Organist was Linda Barrett. Active pallbearers were Rick Anders, Rusty Hardin, Greg Harton, Gregg Reep, Billy P. Smith, and Densil Stewart. Honorary pallbearers were Charley Dunham, Donnie Copeland, Charlie Doss, Randy Ayers, Ben Garner, Roy Daton Gardner, and Charles Simpson. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Memorials preferred Central Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Bond St., Warren, Ar. 71671.
