Beulah Lee Lawson McDougald age 86, of Warren, Arkansas died Monday January 26, in the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born August 2, 1922 in Hilo, Arkansas a daughter of the late Jessie Thomas and Bessie Ward Thomas. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Earl Grady Lawson and George McDougald, also preceding her in death was a son Jimmy Lawson, brothers, Travis Thomas, Junior Thomas. Sisters, Pauline Reddin and Vivian Lawson. Survivors are a son, Leon Lawson, Atlanta, Texas, a daughter Betty Smith, Warren, Arkansas. 2 step-sons William McDougald, Bastrop Louisiana, and Joe McDougald, Coffeeville, Mississippi. 24 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00AM Friday, January 30th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Jerry Carter and Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Soloists were Ben Garner and Amy Smith Duncan. Organist was Linda Barrett. Active pallbearers were Jim Bob McDougald, Michael Blaylock, Curtis Smith, Gary Smith, Terry Gambil, and Ben Garner. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Lawson, Dr. Kenneth Purvis MD, and David Lawson. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery near Jersey, Arkansas.
