Dorothy Meacham Turner McKinney, age 82, of Warren died Tuesday January 25, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born September 26, 1922 in Clay County, Mississippi a daughter of the late Otis M. Meacham and Mina Lou Perry Meacham she was a homemaker, member First United Methodist Church of Warren where she was in the Friendship Sunday School Class, member Warren Woman’s Club, Bradley County Medical Center Hospital Auxillary, lifetime member Bradley County Library, former mem-ber Warren Garden Club, the widow of Arthur R. “Snookie” Turner who died March 10, 1990. A sister Wilda Wolcott also preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband Claude McKinney whom she married May 29, 1991. 3 daughters Jennifer Taylor of Little Rock, AR., Priscilla Turner of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Cherie L. Turner of Salisbury, North Carolina. 1 step son David C. McKinney of Batesville, AR., 1 sister Mary Lou Andrews of West Point, MS. 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday January 28, Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Siegfreid Johnson officiating. Joye Splawn was pianist and soloist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were John Cuthbertson, Rodney Parnell, Danny Taylor, Tommy Burrow, John Little and Jim Turner. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. James W. Marsh, Pete Godwin, Sykes Harris, Paul Bray, Lewis Hedger, Bob Tate and members of Warren High School Class of 1940. Memorials preferred First United Methodist Church of Warren or Warren Branch Library.
