Esther Singer Cruce, age 95, of Warren died Sunday January 30, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born January 9, 1910 in Bradley County a daughter of the late William Thomas Singer and Allie Stough Singer she was a retired bookkeeper for Owenís Clothing Store, member First United Methodist Church, former president and secretary First United Methodist Women, past member and president GFWC Womenís Club, past Secretary /Treasurer Adams-Singer Cemetery Association and the widow of Lester Cruce who died May 2, 1986. They were united in marriage may 29, 1927 in Warren, AR. Also, preceding her in death was a sister Willie Mae Halligan. Survivors are 2 daughters Betty Doss of Warren, AR. and Billie Seligman of Little Rock, AR. 4 grandchildren Scott Doss of Atlanta, GA., Susan Lawrence of Batesville, AR., Chuck Benson of Grand Canyon, AZ. and Lee Ann Dougal of Hampshire, England. 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 2, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Siegfried Johnson and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Sybil Babbington. Burial was in Adams-Singer Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Charlie Doss, Gary Cooper, Tommy Burrow, Ray Van Stedman, Clinton Jayne and John Little.
