Obituary:
Leonard Byron “Bubba’ Johnson, age 66, of Warren, Arkansas died Friday, November 7, at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born August 5, 1942 at Hope, Arkansas a son of the late Leonard Boyce Johnson and Ida Belle Gambill Johnson. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, served on the Warren School Board, the Bradley County Rural Water Association, the Warren Fireman’s Pension Board and the Warren Electrical Examiners Board. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard for 24 years and had recently retired from Entergy with 30 years of service. Surviving is his wife Brenda Jones Johnson whom he married September 5, 1964; 1 daughter Brigitte Johnson Bondio and spouse Mike, Crossett, Ark; 1 brother Mark Johnson, and spouse Elizabeth, Houston, Tex; 1 sister Linda Parrish and spouse Bob, Spring, Tex; 2 grandchildren Brennan Bondio and Elizabeth Bondio both of Crossett, Ark; his in laws Hollis and Edna Jones, Hermitage, Ark; an aunt Jeanette Sanders, Warren, Ark; an uncle Duel Gambill, Argyle, Tex. He was also preceded in death by a brother Duel Lee Johnson. Funeral services were 1:30pm Monday, November 10, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist were Marlin and Donna Raines. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery at Sumpter by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Ronnie Lanier, Robert Johnson, Phillip Wylie, Jack Gambill, Jeff Williams, John Garison, Charlie Rauls and Roger Shelby. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, Karen Richardson, Derwood Reep, Deacons of First Baptist Church and members Greens Lake Hunting Club.
