Larry Richard Stanfield
Funeral Date: 11/5/2008

Larry Richard Stanfield, age 61, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Friday, October 31, at M D Anderson, Houston. He was born November 19, 1946 at Warren, Arkansas a son of the late Ira Richard Stanfield and Kathern Morie Smith Stanfield. He was a graduate of the Hermitage Public School system, the University of Arkansas at Monticello, New Mexico Highlands University where he earned a Masters Degree in Education, and furthered his education at Auburn University. Mr. Stanfield was a retired teacher in the Pine Bluff School District with 38 years of service. He retired in June of 2007. He was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. Surviving is his wife Jo Ellen Spencer Stanfield whom he married on July 18, 1970; a son Brian Jason Stanfield and spouse Wendy, Batesville, Ark; a daughter Kathryn Mays and spouse Tony, Fayetteville, Ark; a brother Jerrel Stanfield, Warren, Ark; a sister Elois Taylor, Warren, Ark; 5 grandchildren Garrett Stanfield, Amber Stanfield, Nathan Stanfield, Collin Mays and Peyton Mays. Funeral services were at 1:30pm Wednesday, November 5, at Frazerís Chapel with Reverend George OíDell officiating. Organist was Linda Barrett. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery at Sumpter by Frazerís Funeral Home of Warren. Pallbearers were Ken Socia, Ronnie Jones, Dean Emerson, Ronnie Stanfield, Ryan Stanfield, Scott Stanfield, Mark Taylor, and Mike Taylor.
