Obituary:
J.D. Forrest, age 81, of Warren, AR. died Monday October 20, at B.C.M.C. Born November 22, 1926, in Monticello, AR. a son of the late Sam Forrest and Myrtle Braden Forrest he was a retired construction worker, cattle farmer and member First Assembly of God Church. Also, preceding him in death were brothers Willie Forrest, J.C. Forrest, Earlee Forrest, Dickson Forrest, sisters Christine Jackson, Lou Ella Gibson and half brothers Frank Forrest and Hardy Forrest. Survivors are his wife Maxine Lee Forrest whom he married July 29, 1946. 1 son Don Forrest, Warren, AR. 1 daughter Joyce Ann Braswell and spouse Baylon, Greers Ferry, AR. 2 brothers Alford Forrest and W.T. Forrest both of Monticello, AR. 1 sister Velma McNeese, Monticello, AR. 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 22, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Victor Hunter officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Donnie Summerford, Allen Herring, Billy Waldrop, Harvey Helton, Donnie Rice and Randy Peek. Honorary pallbearers were Lee Roy Craig, R.P. Outlaw, Odell Wolfe, R.L. Gates and Emmit Cope.
