Donald Wayne “Cotton” Martin, age 67, of New Edinburg, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 4, at Golden Living Center, Camden. He was born February 22, 1941 in Lincoln County, Arkansas a son of Lizzie Mae Parker Martin, Monticello, Ark. and the late Abney Guy “Jack” Martin. He was a member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church and a retired logger and construction worker. Surviving is his wife Rachel Barnes Martin whom he married on September 21, 2001 in Cleveland County, Ark; 1 son Brandon Kyle Martin, Cabot, Ark; 1 step daughter LaDonna Hodge, Calion, Ark; 3 brothers John Charles Martin, Camden, Ark, Frank Martin and Coy Ray Martin both of New Edinburg. Ark; 3 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a spouse Virginia Nell Thompson Martin whom he married on August 3, 1963 and she died November 9, 1999; two sons Teal Wade Martin and Scotty Wayne Martin and twin unnamed daughters. Funeral Services were10:00am Saturday, June 7, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev. Billy Wilson and Rev. Bill Corley. Linda Barrett was the organist and the soloist were Rev. Billy Wilson and Jimmy Pennington. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ronnie Adair, Jeremy Grider, Marvin King, Daymon Parker, Bobby Chambers, Danny Jones, Kenny Leeson and Scott Hodge. Honorary Pallbearers were Bro. Victor Hunter, Jimmy Ray Parker and Harley Payne.
