Richard Wright, age 77, of Rye, AR. died Monday February 18, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Born July 27, 1930 at Rye, AR. a son of the late Clyde Wright and Esker Adair Wright he was a retired supervisor for Chrysler Corp., a Baptist and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors are his wife Novern Hays Wright whom he married September 10, 1954. 2 sons Keith Wright and spouse Sandra, Rye, AR. Jeff Wright and spouse Leah, Star City, AR. 4 brothers Harvis Wright, Damon Wright, Jerry Adair all of Rye, AR., W.C. Wright, Monticello, AR., 2 sisters Virginia Sullivan, Rock Springs, AR., Syble Vinson, Rye, AR. 2 grandchildren Heather Baker, Anna Grace Wright. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday February 21, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Randy Baker and Rev. Ricky Mercer officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial with military honors was in Enon Cemetery at Rye, AR. by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ronald Dean Adair, Dewayne Adair, Brett Nichols, Pat Gibson, Mack Vinson, Bart Nichols, Dewayne Wright and Carlton Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Adair, Allen Wilson, Ben Curry, C.L. Sullivan and Huey Nichols. Online guestbook

Message: I met Mr. Richard when I called him years ago to fix my washer. Through the years I had to call on him many more times and he always came running to my rescue. I know he never charged me enough. I learned to love him for his generous spirit and infectious smile. Buddy got to know him and Mrs. Novern on Lake Monticello as they searched for crappie holes and they became fast friends...sharing their love of fishing. Mrs. Novern I know you will miss your fishing buddy but I just know he's up in heaven sharing fishing stories with the Master fisherman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
