Mary Belle Ashcraft Anderson

Mary Belle Ashlock Ashcraft Anderson, age 89, of Warren, AR. passed away February 10, 2008. She was born July 17, 1918, to the late Mamie Thompson Ashlock and William Lee Ashlock. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church for more than 60 years. She belonged to the Tuesday Night Club and was a member of AAPR for many years. She was a former member of the Warren Business and Professional Womenís Club. She retired from Ashcraft Dry Goods Store after 34 years. She received her early education in Kingsland, AR. and attended Monticello A&M, now UAM. She married Dean Curtis Ashcraft May 19, 1940 in Fordyce, AR. He passed away November 13, 1969. She married Gustus Clinton Anderson on July 6, 1971 in Warren, AR. He passed away December 4, 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters Ruby Lee Ashlock, Willie Mae Ashlock Garner, Tempie Erva Ashlock Bearden, Jessie Altoe Ashlock Simms and Nyla Glen Ashlock Beard. She was also preceded in death by two step sons Jerry Anderson and Chester Anderson, and one step grandson J.D. Anderson. She is survived by one daughter Melessa Ashcraft Shock, M.D. and son in law Curtis Wayne Shock, two grandsons Tyler Wayne Shock and Corey Alan Shock, of Cabot, AR, two sisters Dovie Ashlock Nowlin of Fordyce, AR. and Marie Ashlock Huffstettler of Tyler, TX. She is also survived by three step granddaughters, Kim Anderson of Beaumont, TX, Marilyn Anderson Lewis of Magnolia, AR, and Karol Anderson, M.D. of Little Rock, AR, and by two step great-grandchildren, Allison and Wil Tullis of Little Rock, AR. In addition she is survived by loving nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 13th at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jim Bales and Rev. Tim McClellan officiating. Mary Fierce sang a solo and Shirley Outlaw and Georgia Jones played. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Rye, AR., by Frazerís Funeral Home.
