Freda Virginia Slaughter McElroy age 77, of Warren, Ark. died Tuesday, February 5th at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. She was born August 25, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Ark. a daughter of the late William Macy Slaughter and Freda Edmonds Slaughter. Freda was the owner and operator of McElroy’s School of Dance in Warren, Ark. and McGhee, Ark. She was a Methodist and the wife of Phillip McElroy whom she married May 18, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Also preceding her in death is a brother, Billy Slaughter. Surviving other than her husband, 2 daughter’s Donna McGaha, Little Rock. and Macy McElroy, Warren, Ark. 1 sister, Jean Slaughter Blenden, Jacksonville, Fla. 2 grandchildren Scott McGaha, Warren, Ark. and Jeffery McGaha, Warren, Ark. 2 Great-grandchildren, Maxx McGaha and Cole McGaha both of Warren, Ark. Memorial services were 3:30pm Friday, February 8th Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was pianist.
