Obituary:
Lelah Barnard Morris, age 94, of Warren, AR. died Thursday January 24, 2008, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born June 30, 1913 in Independence, KS, she was the daughter of the late Merwyn Gordan Barnard and Vera Simmons Barnard. A retired booker for Greyhound Bus Lines. Mrs. Morris was a former Worthy Matron of the Warren Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 3 and was a former Bradley County Woman-of-the-Year. She was the widow of Curtis Morris whom she married in 1957 at Miami, Florida. He preceded her in death February 4, 1991. Mrs. Morris was an active member of First Baptist Church of Warren where she taught Sunday School and was the Director of the Womenís Missionary Union (WMU) for many years. Survivors are several cousins and 4 foster grandchildren and a foster great-grandchild. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Sunday January 27, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Active Pallbearers were Joe Hairston, Leonard Hicks, John Durmon, Max Givins and Ricky Roper. Honorary pallbearer was John Ferrell. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Memorials preferred First Baptist Church, 310 S. Main St., Warren, AR. 71671
