J.T. Wear, age 91, of Warren, AR., died Sunday January 20, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born December 5, 1916 in Bradley County, AR., a son of the late William Newton Wear and Ida Baker Wear he was a retired lumber grader for Potlatch Corporation, member Immanuel Baptist Church and the widower of Mary Ruth Turner Wear who died June 2, 1990. Also, preceding him in death was a brother Clyde Wear, sisters Floy Steadman and Lummy Bartram. There are no immediate survivors. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 23, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Todd West and Rev. Tim Saunders officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Alesa Harrington. Burial was in Hickory Springs Cemetery near Hermitage, AR., by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Sam Griffin, Eric Boyd, David Howard, Burl Brown, Monty Harrington, Jeff Harrington, Brian Harrington and John Calender. Honorary pallbearers were Gordon Bryant, Grady Sloan, Martha Cornelius, Matt Boyd, Landon Sims and Billy Ray Howard.

Message: My grandfather, Newton Cook Wear was the twin brother of Hamilton T. Wear, J.T. Wear's grandfather and grandfather Newton was the great uncle of J.T. I do not remember meeting J.T. as I have lived in Texas all of my life. I would, however, like to thank the Wagnon Place Nursing Home staff for the care of my cousin. God Bless.
