Mary Ella Hightower Moss, age 96 of Warren, Ark, died Sunday, December 2nd in Warren, Ark. She was born May 7, 1911 in Warren, Ark, a daughter of the late Norwood Hightower and Gwendolyn Barnette Hightower. She was a housewife and homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Warren for 83 years and the widow of John C. Moss, Jr, whom she married February 27, 1937. He died December 19, 2004. Also preceding her in death, a son John C. Moss III, a sister Marjorie Blanch, brothers Adrian, Herbert, Norwood, Joe, Jules and Max Hightower. She was a devoted wife and mother, she was very proud that her great-grandfather, John Harvey Marks had donated land for the city of Warren, Ark. Survivors include a daughter Marjorie Moss Hendrix and spouse Dewane, Roland, Ark. 1 brother Troy Hightower and spouse Rosemary, Rogers, Ark. A brother in law, Kermit Moss and spouse Juanita, Monticello, Ark. 2 grandchildren Kelly Westerman and spouse Paul, Magnolia, Texas and Dr. Barry Hendrix and spouse, Dr. Lisa Hendrix, Paragould, Ark. 13 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Ferrell and spouse Shawn, Sarah, Mary, Adam, Zachary, Katherine, Emily, Caleb and Hanna Westerman. Lexie, Sallie, Slade and Isaac Hendrix. Funeral services were 1:30pm Wednesday, December 5th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Tony Rhinehart officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist were Marlin and Donna Raines. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Paul Westerman, Adam Westerman, Shawn Ferrell, Tommy Venters, Danny Knight and Dr. Barry Hendrix.
