Bobby Saunders, age 68, of Warren, AR. (formerly of Crossett, AR.) died Tuesday November 13, at home. He had recently retired to his farm in New Edinburg, AR. where he so enjoyed spending time with his many friends, brothers, family, and dogs, operating his equipment and sometimes instructing others in how it should be run. He left his family with the assurance that he had trusted in Jesus Christ as his blessed hope for salvation. Born November 13, 1939 in Warren, AR. a son of the late Rufus “Pete” Saunders and Kathleen Roark Saunders he was a former employee of Pope’s Auto Supply for 10 years, retired maintenance worker for Georgia Pacific with 30 plus years of service, member Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Crossett and a graduate of Warren High School. Survivors are his wife Sandra Riley Saunders whom he married March 27, 1964. 2 sons Tracy Saunders and spouse Amy, Maumelle, AR., Clay Saunders and spouse Kris, Little Rock, AR. 5 brothers Rufus Saunders, Grenada, MS., Roy Saunders, Greenville, MS., Glenn Saunders, Kenneth Saunders, Gary Saunders all of Warren, AR., 1 sister Virginia Hargis, Warren, AR. 2 grandchildren Jessica Saunders and Abby Saunders both of Maumelle, AR. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Thursday November 15, Frazer’s Chapel with Dr. Emil Turner, Rev. Eric Hodge, Rev. David Tohlen officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Colen Burke. Burial was in Wheeler Springs Cemetery near Warren, AR. by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Brian Bays, Mark Beasley, Jeff Moseley, Weston Turner, Phillip Lasiter, Jr., James Outlaw, Mike Law and John Welch. Honorary pallbearers were retired and current Georgia Pacific converting mechanics. Memorials preferred Myeloma Institute for Research Therapy, 501 Jack Stephens Drive; Little Rock, AR. 72205.
