Meade O. Adams, age 74, of Monticello, Arkansas died Tuesday, November 6, at UAMS, Little Rock. He was born May 22, 1933 at Warren, Arkansas a son of the late Shelton “Doc” Adams, Sr. and Eva Flippo Adams. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War, a retired security guard and a Baptist. Surviving are 4 sons Robert Adams, Kenny Adams and Greg Adams all of Monticello, Ark and Shelton L. Adams, Little Rock, Ark; 2 brothers John Adams, Rogers, Ark. and Shelton “Jr” Adams, Crossett, Ark; 4 sisters Kitty Pennington, Gulfport, Miss, Mary Summers, Chidester, Ark, Ida Greenwood, Pine Bluff, Ark. and Louise Clemons, Monticello, Ark; 7 grandchildren. Two brothers Jimmy Adams and Charles Adams preceded him in death. Funeral services were 1:30pm Friday, November 9, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Gary Jordan officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial with flag presentation ceremony was in Willoughby Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Doug Harris, Doug Hill, Steve Hartness, Vernon Summerford, Roy Prince, Jr., Dan Atwood.
