Myrtis Hobgood Pearce age 92, of Warren , Ark. died Friday, October 12, at the Bradley County Medical Center. She was born October 27, 1914 in Tylertown, Miss. a daughter of the late Joe Reed Hobgood and Pearl Duncan Hobgood. She was the owner and operator of the Arkansas Pig Stand, a member of Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker. For 18 years she cooked for the Hopewell Deer Camp, she loved to travel with her children and fish. She was preceded in death by her husband, September 21st, 1980 John Cecil Pearce and they were united in marriage April 1, 1936. Also a great-grandchild. Survivors include 2 sonís, Lamar Pearce, Springdale, Ark.; and Johnny Pearce, Warren, Ark. 6 daughterís, Shirley Beard, Warren, Ark.; Jean Edwards, Warren, Ark. and Dixie Pearce, Warren, Ark.; Catherine Armstrong, Lake Village, Ark., Carolyn Pearce, Camden, Ark; and Verna Crawford, Hermitage, Ark. 7 grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also preceding her in death were brothers Vernon Hobgood, Edgar Hobgood, Buck Hobgood, Bill Hobgood and Joe Hobgood. Sisters, Myrtle Hobgood, Lea Matte and Jo Hardy. Funeral services were 2.00pm Monday, October, 15th at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Victor Hunter officiating. Linda Barrett was organist, pianist was Karen Laughlin, soloist were Susie Wolfe and Gwen Lawson. Burial was in Willoughby Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Dennis Edwards, Blake Armstrong, Michael Crawford, Sammy Pappas, Blake Ketchum, Johnny Pearce and Lamar Pearce.
