Betty Jo Hale, age 67, of White Hall, Arkansas died Sunday, March 11, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1940 in Des Arc, Arkansas a daughter of the late Leonard Layne and Inez Rodgers Layne. She received her education in the Des Arc Schools and Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Mo. She was a retired seamstress foreman for Lee-Bil Corporation and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Thomas Earl Hale whom she married on April 11, 1975; 3 sons Lendell Eugene Hale, Randy Glynn Hale and Thomas Alan Hale all of White Hall, Ark; 3 brothers Jessie Tackett, Des Arc, Ark, Lendell Layne, Cabot, Ark. and Hershel Layne, Searcy, Ark; 3 sisters Wanda Willis, Sharon Ruth Westbrook and Brenda Kaye Combs all of Searcy, Ark; 7 grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30pm Thursday, March 15, at Maranatha Baptist Church in Pine Bluff with Pastor David Cripps and Pastor Mike Gazell officiating. Eunice Leonard was pianist, soloist were Sonia Cripps, Heidi Bragg, Nancy Allbright, David Cripps, Jr., Jason Cripps. Burial was in Adams/Singer Cemetery near Warren by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ronnie Musgrove, Brent Hale, Christopher Hale, Dave Bragg, Roy Gober, Randy Hale, Thomas Alan Hale, Kody Hedrick.
