Zelma Rae Hooper Cook, age 78, of Warren, AR. died Wednesday February 21, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Born November 1, 1928 in Bradley County, AR. she was a daughter of the late Mack Hooper and Lillie Burnes Hooper. She was a retired employee of the State of Arkansas Forestry Office. A former employee of Corbett Grocery and Groves Grocery, a homemaker, a member of First Assembly of God Church of Warren where she was the Jr. Girls Sunday School Teacher for 30 plus years. She was a member of the “Tuesday Girls” volunteer group at Wagnon Place Nursing Home and the widow of O.D. Cook who died October 1, 1992. They were united in marriage April 7, 1949. She was also, preceded in death by a brother Billy Mack Hooper and a great-grandchild Bailey Cook. Survivors are 2 sons Daniel Ray Cook and spouse Pam, Ranny Cook and spouse Susan all of Warren, AR. 1 sister Bonnie Outlaw and spouse W.T. of Warren, AR. 4 grandchildren Lori Lewis and spouse Jim of Ozark, MO., Jennifer Dunagan and spouse Kevin of Little Rock, AR., Torry Cook and spouse Carrie of Warren, AR. Alaina Cook of Warren, AR. 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 24, Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Jim Bales officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Carrie Cook. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Dale Wolfe, Bill Jones, R.P. Outlaw, Terrell Outlaw, Tim Outlaw and Willie Ray Collier. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Derby, Dr. David Chambers, Bobby Bennett, Keith Neely and Marty Howard.
