Nathan Barrett, age 74, of Warren, AR. died Thursday January 25, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Born September 14, 1932 in England, AR. a son of the late Claud T. Barrett and Gladys Donoway Barrett he was owner and operator of Barrett-Pirtle Pharmacy since purchasing it in 1960. In 1964, he received the A.H. Robins Bowl of Hygeia Award one of the most prestigious professional pharmacy honors in Arkansas, in 2005 he was honored by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy for 50 years of service as a certified pharmacist. A member of First Baptist Church of Warren, he served as a deacon, member Caleb Sunday School Class, a Sunday School director and member of the choir. He was a member of the Warren Rotary Club, past president Bradley County Chamber of Commerce, was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea, a former Eagle Scout and member Order of the Arrow. Survivors are his wife Mary King Barrett whom he married August 2, 1953 in Warren, AR. 2 daughters Edie Coleman and spouse Bruce of Fort Worth, TX. Laurie Moore and spouse Roger of Ruston, LA. 1 sister Peggy Barrett of Greenbrier, AR. 4 grandchildren Katie Coleman, Amanda Coleman both of Fort Worth, TX., Barrett Moore and McKinley Moore both of Ruston, LA. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Sunday January 28, Frazer’s Chapel by rev. Greg Stanley. Larry Killian was the soloist and June Bierbaum the organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Fred Bierbaum, Gerald Burton, Bob Milton, Marlin Raines, Delbert Zimmerly, John “M” Lipton, Bruce Cash and Harry Lee “Buddy” McCaskill. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Franklin Pennington, MD, Eddie O’Neil, Caleb’s Sunday School Class and the Deacons of First Baptist Church. Memorials preferred First Baptist Church, 310 S.
