Billy Ray Massey, age 72, of Warren, Arkansas died Monday, December 4, at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1934 at Magness, Arkansas a son of the late Earl W. Massey and Annie Sherrel Massey. He was a member and deacon of Christian Fellowship Church and a retired produce manager for the Kroger Company. He married Rose Mary Massey on November 6, 1989 and she died July 20, 1998. Surviving is his wife JoAnn Lasiter Chapman Massey whom he married on February 28, 2000; 2 sons Tommy Massey, Lakeland, Fla. and Jimmy Massey, Warren, Ark; 1 daughter Brenda Savage, Warren, Ark; 3 stepsons; 4 stepdaughters; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 12 step grandchildren and his dog Daisey. Two brothers Troy Massey and James A. Massey also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 1:30pm Wednesday, December 6, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Speakers were Marie Massey, Raymond Scogin, Dr. David Chambers and Lee Massey. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Kathy Craven. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Garland Bryant, Raymond Scogin, Trent Scogin, Dr. David Chambers, Jack Scobey, H.P. Reaves, Mack McClain, Darren Bryant.Honorary pallbearers were men of Christian Fellowship Church and all Billyís friends. Memorials preferred to the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA or the church of your choice.
