Alameda Carrie Chandler age 82, of Sumpter, Arkansas died Thursday, November 23, in Wagnon Place Nursing Center. She was born July 26, 1924 in Warren, Ark., a daughter of the late David Carlton Savage and Effie Braswell Savage. She was a homemaker and a member of Saline Baptist Church. She married Malvin James Chandler on May 26th 1947 and he died February 3, 2001. Survivors include 3 sons, Jerry Chandler and Larry Chandler both of Camden, Ark.; and Tommy Chandler of Texarkana, Tex; 2 daughters, Phyllis Kay Davis, Junction City, Ark. and Linda Mullins, Camden, Ark. 2 brothers Billy Ray Savage, Hermitage, Ark. and Haskell Savage, Bedford, TX. 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Graveside services were 10:00 am Saturday, November 25, at Outlaw Cemetery in Sumpter with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Roger Chandler, Donald Ray Savage, Gerald Wayne Wilson, Phil Chandler, Bob Calloway and Willie Lasiter.
