Hazel Rodgers Stedman, age 102, of Warren, Arkansas died Thursday, October 26, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born October 24, 1904 in Drew County, Arkansas a daughter of the late George Daniel Rodgers and Nancy Ardella Senn Rodgers. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She married John Wesley Stedman on December 15, 1920 and he died November 22, 1966. Surviving is a son Thelbert Stedman, Warren, Ark; 3 daughters Mary Castleberry, Zula Johnson and Burcell George all of Warren, Ark; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Wilburn Stedman; 2 daughters Vada Lavern Cornish and Opal Reece Stedman; 2 brothers Robert Troy Rodgers and William Roy Rodgers; 4 sisters Gennie Smith, Lillian Tillman, Leoda Johnson and Mable Lowry; her stepmother Beulah Rice Rodgers and 1 great grandson. Funeral services were 1:30pm Sunday, October 29, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Ron Neely, Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. B.K. Harris officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist, the Macedonia Church Choir Sang, Brenda Mohammed sang and Robin Young played. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery at Sumpter by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Leland Bryant, Travis Kelly, Ed Lain, Danny Ferrell, Tim Burks and Roger George. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, Dr. Dichelle George, Karen Richardson, Nathan Barrett, Laverne Rice and Leonard Rice.
