William Thomas “Red” Gardner, Jr., age 74, of Banks, AR., died Friday April 15, at JRMC in Pine Bluff. Born January 20, 1931 in Bradley County a son of the late William Thomas Gardner, Sr. and Adell Vail Gardner he was a retired truck driver and member Springhill Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Martha D. Green Gardner whom he married December of 1991. 2 step sons Jerry Golden of Pine Bluff, AR. and David Golden of Palestine, AR. 3 step daughters Dianna Hudson of Mabelvale, AR., Carolyn McCoy of Sikeston, MO. And Linda Byrd of Naylor, MO. 1 brother J.E. Gardner of Warren, AR. 1 sister Martha D. Ragsdale of Banks, AR. 2 half brothers Willie Gardner and Donnie Gardner both of Arkansas City, AR. 1 half sister Carolyn Wright of California. 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 17, Childs Cemetery near Banks with Rev. Victor Hunter officiating. Arrangements by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jesse Goodman, Lynn Grice, Corey Grice, Robert Franklin, Jr., Hugh Funderburg and Donnie Golden. Honorary pallbearers were Ovid Grice and Sonny Bethea.
