Reuben Leslie Prescott, age 90, of Banks, Arkansas died Tuesday, September 19, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Administration Hospital, Little Rock. He was born April 26, 1916 in Paul, Idaho a son of the late Leslie John Prescott and Ellen Tippetts Prescott. He served in the US Army during World War II and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge (Germany) on January 30, 1945 while in the 311th Infantry Division, Company L. He received with honor the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Metal, the E.A.M.E. Theater Metal and 2 bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW, the Bradley County Genealogy Society and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a retired civil service employee. Surviving is his wife Aline Moseley Prescott whom he married on April 9, 1944 at Benton, Arkansas; 2 sons Jim Prescott, Temple, Tex. and Charlie Prescott, Banks, Ark; a daughter Betty Sue Austin, Sandy, Utah; 2 brothers Stan Prescott, Riverdale, Utah and David Prescott, Springville, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 4 sisters, a granddaughter Susan Irene Prescott and a great grandson Patryk Damon Bradley. Funeral services were 2:00pm Saturday, September 23, Frazerís Chapel with President John Thomas, Jim Gardner and James Smith officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial with military honors was in McFarland Cemetery at Banks by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Shane Prescott, Jimmy Prescott, Ben Austin, Johnny Austin, Bill Gardner, Hershel Tillman, Jim Gardner and James Robert Gardner. Honorary pallbearers John Tillman, Travis Moseley, Charles Moseley, Bruce Bever, Veo Gardner, Dalen Bever, Joey Austin and Henry C. Nichols.
