Charles Ray Best, age 69, of Hermitage, Arkansas died Thursday, August 31, at home. He was born March 22, 1937 in Bradley County, Arkansas a son of the late Andrew Wesley Best and Lillie Mae Morgan Best. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Surviving are 2 sons Shaun Best, Smackover, Ark. and Michael Best, Buna, Texas; 1 brother Gary Max Best, Hermitage, Ark; 3 grandchildren. 3 brothers Joe Best, Kenneth Best and John Best also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 2:00pm Saturday, September 2, at Frazerís Chapel with Reverend Mike Griffith officiating. Charlie Morgan led the singing and Brent Miller was the organist. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery at Bearden by Frazerís Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Andrew Best, Tommy Best, Billy Joe Best, Wayne Wyatt, Gene Easterling, Jerry Don Eastering, Thomas Morgan and Jerrel Stanfield.
