Becky Botts Dorrough, age 64, of Warren, Arkansas died Monday, August 28, at Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock. She was born August 29, 1941 at Little Rock, Arkansas a daughter of the late George Walton Botts and Alien Limerick Lee Botts. She was a graduate of Warren High School, attended Hendrix College and held a BA of Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She taught in the public school systems of Warren, Hermitage and Star City. Following in her fathers and brothers footsteps, G.W. Botts and Bill Botts, she was a life long worker, supporter, and past employee of the Warren YMCA having been a life guard, swimming instructor and coach for over 50 years, and was the first woman board member of the “Y” and served as “Y” treasurer in the l970’s. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren. Surviving are 2 daughters Kim Harton and spouse Mike and Tina Reep and spouse Rick all of Warren, Arkansas; 1 sister Virginia Lee Jackson and spouse Leo, Oconomowoc, Wis; 4 grandchildren Wendy Harton Smith, Farron Mercer, Brooks Mercer and Gage Reep all of Warren, Ark. and 1 great grandchild Josie Smith, Warren, Ark; a sister in law Virgie Botts, Dallas, Tex. Several nieces and nephews.2 brothers Bently “Bubba” Botts an William “Bill” Botts also preceded her in death. Funeral services were 10:00 am Thursday, August 31, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Craig Jenkins and Rev. Bryan Ashcraft officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Melinda Ashcraft. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bill Wisener, Alan Maxwell, Dr. Kerry Pennington, John Cuthbertson, Rick Warner, Ricky Mercer and John M. Lipton. Honorary pallbearers were Sam and Fufa Fullerton, Brenda Blankinship, Ron St. John, Dr. John Durmon, Dr. Donnie Bryant, Curtis and Ilene Harton, Renious and Nancy Harton, Earline and Ernie Ferrell, John B. Frazer, Jr., Phyllis Warner, Joel Tolefree, Jim Cuthbertson, Jean Harton, Nettie Clary, Judy and French Wynne. Memorials preferred Warren Y.M.C.A.; 207 N. Main St.; Warren, AR. 71671.
