Kimbro Young Hedrick, age 99, of Warren, Ark. died Friday, August 11, at the Bradley County Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1907, in Warren, Arkansas, a son of the late Louis M. Hedrick and Mai Ellen Wise Hedrick. In his early years, he worked for Merchant and Planters Bank and later became an independent agent, starting Kim Hedrick Insurance Agency, specializing in Property, Causality and Fire protection. From the early 60ís to the 1980ís he was manager of Merchant and Planters Insurance Agency and Realty. He was active in civic and community affairs and served as a commissioner during the development and early years of the Warren Housing Authority. Mr. Hedrick was an active member and elder in the First Presbyterian Church. He was also a leader in the district and statewide church, serving as moderator of the Synod of Arkansas and as President of the Men of the Synod. He is survived by his wife, of 69 years, Joel Dean Cunningham Hedrick whom he married June 28, 1937 in Warren, Arkansas, a son, Rev. Dr. William Kimbro Hedrick, Albuquerque, NM, three daughters: Mary Elizabeth Causey, West Point, Virginia, Dr. Ellen Kay Bacon, Durham, North Carolina, Margaret Jane Beachboard, Little Rock, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mr. Hedrick was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Hedrick and Dick Hedrick, and a sister, Dorothy OíRear. Graveside services were 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 15th at Oakland Cemetery, and a 10:00 a.m. memorial service in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dari Rowen and Rev. Dr. A. Catherine Robinson officiating. Janice Majors was organist. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Mark Hedrick, Michael Bacon, John Thomas Beachboard, Matthew Beachboard, James Beachboard and James P. Beachboard. Honorary pallbeaerers were Bob Cain, Martin Hankins, Billy J. Watson, Mack Leslie and Tom Haley. Memorials preferred to the First Presbyterian Church or the Warren Y.M.C.A.
