Joann Thompson, age 70, of Warren, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 20, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pine Bluff. She was born October 28, 1935 in Cleveland County, Arkansas a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Crutchfield. She was a retired employee of Jack Winter Company with 26 years of service, a graduate of New Edinburgh High School and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Clyde Thompson whom she married Mary 30, 1953 at New Edinburgh; 1 daughter Fran Nutt and spouse Randy, Warren, Ark; 3 grandchildren Jerry Nutt, Bryant, Ark, Jody Nutt, Shreveport, La. and Hayley White and spouse Derek, Monticello, Ark; 1 great grandchild Daxton White, Monticello, Ark; 1 brother Marvin Crutchfield, Kingsland, Ark; 1 sister Robbie White, McGehee, Ark. A brother Jackie Crutchfield and a sister Joyce Carter also preceded her in death. Funeral services were 10:00am Thursday, June 22, at Frazerís Chapel by Rev. Joel Simpson and Jimmy Reep. Janice Sullivan was the organist, Jondylan Reep the soloist and Jimmy Ray Taylor led the First Freewill Baptist Church choir. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery near New Edinburgh by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Darrell Crutchfield, David Carter, Rickey Rauls, Doug Thompson, Gilbert Moring and Gary Reep. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Sunshine Sunday School Class, W. C. Rauls, Frank Burt, J. E. Gardner, Leroy Craig and Wayne Mafous.
