Mildred E. Givens Johnson Huitt, age 79, of Hermitage, Arkansas died Friday, May 5, at Bradley County Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1926 at Hermitage, Arkansas a daughter of the late Jonah Audley Givens and Mary Rozetta Kirkley Givens. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, a member of Hermitage Baptist Church and was a retired public school teacher. For 42 and a half years she taught in the Vick School Public System, the Ingalls Public School System and retired from the Hermitage Public School System. Two husbands Otto Johnson who died January 3, 1969 and Jessie Clifton Huitt who died on January 14, 1987 and a sister Alice Jean Givens preceded her in death. Surviving is a son Roger Johnson, Hermitage, Ark; a daughter Alice Beth Cox, Hermitage, Ark; 3 brothers Max Givens and spouse Gigi, Warren, Ark, John Givens and spouse Sarah, Niceville, Fla. and Wayne Givens, Fordyce, Ark; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A sister-n-law Jackie Johnson, Hermitage, Arkansas. Funeral services were 2:00pm Sunday, May 7, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Terrell Wallace and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist, Jerry Vickers soloist, Nina Harrod pianist and Franklin Stanley played the guitar. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls, Ark by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Joe Dale Reynolds, Randy Gates, Richard Rankin, Melvin Mills, John Kidwell, Jr., Charlie Rawls. Honorary pallbearers were Ernie and Earlene Ferrell, Charlie and Yvonne Morgan, Bailey Mac and Frances Hargis, Byron and Bonnie Hamilton.
