Goldie Mable Burns, age 97, of Warren, AR., died Friday March 31, at B.C.M.C. Born March 25, 1909 in Banks, AR. a daughter of the late William Clay Stone and Minnie Rose Nichols Stone she was a retired school teacher with the New Edinburg Public School System, a homemaker, a Jehovah Witness and the widow of Homer E. Burns who died June 1, 1978. They were united in marriage August 11, 1932 in Banks, AR. Also, preceding her in death was a son Eddie Pat Burns, brothers Frank Stone, Olie Stone, Ned Stone, Shelton Stone and sisters Lola Hardy and Sybil Wagnon. She is survived by a son Dr. Mike Burns, D.D.S. of Atlanta, GA. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 2, Frazerís Chapel with Steve Mann officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Gina McWilliams. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Mike Mercer, Roger Bodiford, Randy Wooldridge, John Wooldridge, Jerry Gates, Nizar Minton, James Hayes and Bobby Payne.
