Lee Anders, age 86, of Camden, Ark. died Monday, December 27, at Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado. He was born January 1, 1918 at Jersey, Arkansas a son of the late James Robert “Bob” Anders and Mamie Bell Davis Anders. He was a retired structural steel ironworker and attended Fairview Road Baptist Church. He married Opal Inez Wolfe Anders on December 28, l935 at Banks, Arkansas and she died January 10, 2001. Surviving are 2 daughters Mary Ann Porter, Camden, Ark. and Pam Paul and spouse Larry, Madison, Va.; a sister Jane Little and spouse Lee, Camden, Ark.; 3 grandchildren Traci Porter Caldwell and spouse Michael, Camden, Ark., Angela Paul Rohde and Stephen Paul both of Madison, Va.; 2 great grandchildren Jennifer Rohde and Tristan Rohde, both of Madison, Va. 6 brothers Travis Anders, Edwin Anders, Guy Anders, Otha Anders, Rodney Anders and Paul Anders also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 1:30 pm Thursday, December 30, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev. J. T. Harvill. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Gene Jeffress and Laura Scrape sang. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery at Jersey by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Dickey Jeffus, Bill Beard, Rich Anders, Terry Anders, Jr., Marty Wolfe and Andy Anders. Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Wright, Gerald Wright, Aaron Hilson, Jr., Ovid Wolfe, Otha Wolfe, Larry Wolfe, Charles Wolfe, Joe Wolfe, James Jeffus, Fay Wolfe, Orin Williams and Jim Wolfe.
