Carmen Lowman, age 82, of Warren, Arkansas died Thursday, March 9, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born June 30, 1923 at Rye, Arkansas a daughter of the late Charles Miles Young and Hattie Mae Curry Young. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Rufus Young, Dennis Young, Curtis Young and a sister Beatha Tate. Surviving is her husband Captain (Ret.) James Thomas Lowman, Arkansas State Police, whom she married on February 7, 1950 at Warren, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews and special friends and caregivers Larry and Linda Wherry of Warren. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 12, Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist were Marlin and Donna Raines. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bill Hargis, R.P. Outlaw, Johnnie Williams, John Daniel Williams, Larry Wherry, Wade Wherry, Gerald Burton, Bill Kellebrew.
