Obituary:
Dale Taylor, age 77, of Warren, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 11, at Select Specialty Hospital, Little Rock. He was born December 24, 1927 at Warren, Arkansas a son of the late Kyle Thomas Taylor and Eva Alvada Taylor Taylor. He received his education in the Warren Public School System and Arkansas A & M College. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, was a retired associate of Martinís Department Store, a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of First State Bank Community Board and for over 30 years served as a Justice of the Peace on the Bradley County Quorum Court. He is survived by his wife Lucy Baskin Taylor whom he married on December 27, 1957 at Strong, Arkansas; a daughter Joan Taylor Cunningham and spouse Jason, El Dorado, Ark; a brother Kay Max Taylor, Benton, Ark; 2 sisters Eloise Owens, North Little Rock, Ark. and Bobbie Traywick, Benton, Ark; 1 nephew Tom Owens, Maumelle, Ark; 2 nieces Jana Owens, Silver Springs, Md. and Jennifer Douglas, Benton, Ark. Funeral services were 4:00pm Saturday May 14, at Frazerís Chapel by Rev. Dari Victoria Rowen, Rev. Andy Kight and Rev. Floyd Taylor at graveside. Speakers were the Hon. Bryan Martin, Mayor of the City of Warren, David Martin, Tom Owens and Rev. Wayman Mann. Janice Sullivan was the organist and pianist and Pam Swilley the soloist. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tom Owens, Dennis Morgan, Anthony Hearnsberger, William McLemore, Steve Orr, Clint McLemore, David Martin, W. A. Kimbrell and Andy Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Doyle Gill, Keith Jones, Herbert McKinney, Tommy McLemore, Dr. Kerry Pennington, MD, DeWayne Henry, Bob Newton and the Community Board of First State Bank Alfred Barnett, Loran Johnson, Mack Johnson, John McClellan, Micah Bennett, W. C. Wilbanks, Billy Joe Watson and Weldon Sledge. Memorials preferred to First Presbyterian Church, 212 East Church Street, Warren, Arkansas 71671.
