Meda Kitchel Jackson age 98 of Hot Springs, Arkansas formerly of Ingalls, Arkansas died Sunday, January 22 in St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital. She was born March 13, 1907 in Crossett, Arkansas,; a daughter of the late Fred Kitchel and Stella Ellen Winder Kitchel. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She is preceded in death by her husband John William “Bill” Jackson whom she married August 18, 1923 and he died February 6, 1969. A daughter Erma Dean Corker and 2 sister’s Pansy Bass and Lela Maude Kitchel Hargis also preceded her in death. Surviving is 1 son Willie Truman Jackson of White Hall, AR. 3 daughters Myrline Harrod, Fontana, California; Freddie Crownover, Hot Spring’s, Arkansas and Patsy Zimmerman, Brighton, Illnois. A brother, Claude Kitchel, San Leandro, California. A sister, Opal Hargraves, Lilly, Louisana. 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 11 great-greatgrandchildren and 1 great-great-great grand child. Funeral services were 10:00am Thursday, January 26 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Charles Cauley and Rev. Klois Hargis officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery, Ingall’s, AR. by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Michael Bolt, Milton Corker, Eric Corker, Michael Corker, Paul Corker, Scott Corker, Kristopher Trammell and Derrek Nichols. Honorary pallbeaerers were Sean Zimmerman, Jim Crownover, Johnny Corker and Lloyd Corker.
