Beulah Irene Simmons, age 89, of Warren, Arkansas died Thursday, January 19, at Bradley County Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1916 at Banks, Arkansas a daughter of the late Woody Haywood Doggett and Mary Cornelia Parnell Doggett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. She married J. Herbert Simmons on November 21, 1934 and he died February 12, 1974. Surviving is a son Steve Simmons, Crossett, Ark; 3 daughters Janice Sullivan and Joan Miller both of Warren, Ark. and Rose Mary Duran, Little Rock, Ark; 1 brother J. C. Doggett, Guatemala; 3 sisters Clara Fowler, Banks, Ark, Marjorie McDougald, Jersey, Ark and Lois Ray Pascagoula, Miss; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great- grandchildren. A son Jody Simmons, 4 brothers Everett Doggett, Alvin Doggett, Royce Doggett and Earl Doggett and 4 sisters Linnie Mae Colter, Beatrice Carmical, Estelle Powell and Agness Cathey also preceded her in death. Funeral services were 1:30pm Saturday, January 21, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Jay Bagwell officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and vocal music was by Crossroads Baptist Church Trio, Quartet and Karen Simmons. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery near Warren by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tony Sullivan, Doug Sullivan, Bruce Sullivan, David Simmons, Mark Simmons, James Meeks and Dr. Bill Eggart.
