W. B. Hargis, Jr., age 87, of Ingalls, Arkansas died Friday, January 13, at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born July 31, 1918 in the Eagle Lake Community (Bradley County, Arkansas) a son of the late Watt Bennett Hargis and Minnie Elizabeth Colvin Hargis. He was a World War II U S Army veteran, a retired farmer, logger and cattleman and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He married Vaughnie Norris Hargis on August 9, 1947 at Hermitage, Arkansas and she died December 9, 2003. Surviving is a granddaughter Jodi Michelle Hargis, Hermitage, Ark; and his daughter in law Daphne Renee Hargis, Hermitage, Ark. A son Mickey Dale Hargis and 3 sisters Ouida Hall, Emma Jo Gates and Ila Mae Hickman also preceded him in death. Funeral services were 1:30pm Monday, January 16, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Bob Meggs and Rev. Charles Cauley officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Carrie Cauley. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls by Frazerís Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Ricky Gates, Rex Gates, Larry Hall, Randy Hall, Sam Clanton and Danny Norris. Honorary pallbearers were Billy M. Clanton, Mervin Clanton, Doyle Gates and Bailey Mac Hargis.
