Buck Steelman, age 69 of Rison, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 23, at home. He was born September 26, 1935 at Banks, Arkansas a son of Mildred Wagnon Steelman, Banks, Arkansas and the late Noble Steelman. He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, Pine Bluff, member of the Warren Lumberjack Hall of Fame, served in the US Airforce and was a retired FAA air traffic controller. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife Betty King Steelman whom he married on June 1, 1968; 3 sons Brad Steelman and spouse Debbie and Bryan Steelman all of Dallas, Texas and Gene Williams and spouse Kimberly, Austin, Tex; 1 daughter Cindy Smith and spouse Chuck, Harrison, Arkansas; a brother Mike Steelman, Bryant, Ark; 7 grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00am Thursday, August 25, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. Nathan Petty officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Tony Rhinehart. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home.Actie pallbearers were Jim Carey, Tony Merritt, Clyde Herman Clements, Mike Walker, Rubin Carter and Larry Ross. Honorary pallbearers were Stormy Fairweather, men of Harmony Baptist Church and Warren High School Class of 1953. Memorials preferred to Pine Bluff Hospice Angels or Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, Pine Bluff.
