James O. Wolfe, Sr., age 81, of Camden, Arkansas died Friday, December 19, at Ouachita County Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1922 in Bradley County, Arkansas a son of the late Jessie Lloyd Wolfe and Mary Rilla Erwin Wolfe. He was a retired employee of Southwestern Bell telephone Company with 39 years of service, a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church, a member of the Warren Lodge #33, F&AM and a member of the Pioneer Telephone workers of America. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He married Carolyn Martin on July 6, 1946 at Warren, Ark. and she died on December 14, 1997. Surviving is his wife Martha Temple Kulbeth Wolfe, Camden, Ark.; 2 sons James O. Wolfe, Jr. and spouse Linda, Camden, Ark. and Thomas Martin “Marty” Wolfe and spouse Terri, Camden, Ark.; 1 daughter Jennifer Dennis and spouse Dan, North Little Rock, Ark.; 2 step daughters Pam Moseley, Cave Creek, Ariz. And Stacy Hays, Banks, Ark.; 4 sisters Margie Hilson, Pauline Jeffus and Marie Jones all of Camden, Ark. and Ruby Jackson, Banks, Ark.; a half brother Marcus Wolfe, Camden, Ark. ; a half sister Dorothy Avery, Heber Springs, Ark.; 6 grandchildren Jamie Wolfe, West Fork, Ark., Jonathan Wolfe and spouse Tracy, McNeil, Ark., Jessica Smith and spouse Mark, Sheridan, Ark., Ryan Smith and Jeremy Smith both of Little Rock, Ark. and Nicholous Smith, Sheridan, Ark, 4 great grandchildren Holton Smith, Luke Smith and Chloe Smith all of Sheridan, Ark. and Dillon Smith, Little Rock, Ark. and 3 step grandchildren Alex Kulbeth, Phoenix, Ariz., Dallas Hays, Warren, Ark. and Justice Hays, Camden, Ark. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers Cecil Wolfe, Thomas Wolfe and Ivan Wolfe; 3 sisters Reta Beard, Opal Anders and Cuba Corrine Wolfe and a grandson James O Wolfe, III. Funeral services were 1:30 pm Sunday, December 21, at Cullendale First Baptist Church at Camden by Rev. Jimmy Burks and Rev. Phillip Salmon. Burial in Williams Cemetery near Banks by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Mark Smith, Ryan Smith, Jamie Wolfe, Bill Beard, Joe Wolfe, Larry Wolfe, Dickey Jeffus, Charles Wolfe, Fay Wolfe and Odell Wolfe. Honorary pallbearers were Ovid Grice, Dale Wolfe, Otha Grice and Dean Wolfe. Memorials preferred to Ouachita Hospice, Camden, Arkansas. .
