Dale DeArmond, age 85, of Wilmar, Arkansas died Wednesday March 24, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. He was born May 28, 1918 in Drew County, Arkansas a son of the late L. H. “Nick” DeArmond and Lottie B. Grubbs DeArmond. He received his education in the Warren Public Schools System and Arkansas A & M College and served in the U S Army during World War II. He was a retired scaler for Potlatch Corp. and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Mildred Hayes DeArmond whom he married on Mary 27, 1965; 2 sons Robert O’Neill, Eudora, Ark and Redmon Lamar O’Neill, Mt. Home, Ark; 2 brothers Carlyle DeArmond and Bob DeArmond both of Conroe, Texas; 1 sister Erlene Jordan, Monticello, Ark.; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 am Saturday, March 27, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev. Larry Donaldson. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Kathy Craven the soloist. Burial in Beulah Cemetery near Monticello by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Eugene Jordan, Kim Hargis, Tony Craven, James “Sonny” Burns, Louis Smith and Mark DeArmond.
