Obituary:
Charles “Buck” Burkhart age 75, of Elkins, AR, died Tuesday, June 28th in Little Rock, AR. He was born August 31st, 1940 in Warren, AR, a son of late John Schuyler Burkhart and Hattie Juanita Poteet Burkhart. He was a United States Marine Corp. veteran serving in Vietnam and finishing his career serving as a Major. He earned a Masters of Business which he used to start Burkhart construction; he also served as an industrial engineer for Houston Power and Light in Houston, TX. And plant manager of Pride Industries. Surviving is his wife Barbara Socia Burkhart whom he married October 24th, 1964. A son Stephen Burkhart and spouse Chrissy, Cape Coral, Fla. A daughter Laura Burkhart Laurie, and spouse Fred, Lake Worth, Fla. 2 brothers John Lewis Burkhart, Sheridan, AR and Jimmy Burkhart, Banks, AR. 3 grandchildren Laritt Burkhart, Charleston Laurie and Savannah Laurie. Graveside service was 2:00pm Wednesday, July 6th at McCoy Cemetery with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements are by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
