Obituary:
John Robert “Johnny” Haynes, age 87, of Monticello, AR, died Sunday, May 8, at his home. Born January 1, 1929 in Harrell, AR, a son of the late Arthur Haynes and Maude Johnson Haynes he was a retired mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft, a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a member of Willow Glen Lodge # 676 F. & A.M. in San Jose, CA. Also preceding him in death were brothers; Kenneth Haynes, Virgil Haynes, Curtis Haynes, Willis Haynes, Elton Haynes, Wallace Haynes, an infant brother, an infant half brother; a sister Nellie Haynes and half sisters Patsy Wilbanks and Ruth Haynes. Survivors are his wife Sadie Sessions Haynes whom he married December 4, 1954. 2 sons Mark L. Haynes of Monticello, AR, and Thomas Blake Haynes of Dallas, TX. 4 grandchildren. Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Frazer’s Chapel with Bro. Mark Haynes presiding and conducting and Bro. Daniel Light officiating. Blake Haynes was eulogist. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ron Billings, John Mark Dietle, Jerry Laster, David Mitchell, Keith Porterfield, Wayne Urrey and Darren Wehland.
