Lewis “L.Y.” Brown, age 78, of Warren died Wednesday April 21, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 16, 1925 in Cleveland County, Ark, a son of the late Vinnie Brown and Irene Ashcraft Brown. He was the retired owner and operator of Brown’s Texaco and Brown’s Muffler Shop, a member Central Missionary Baptist Church in Warren and a World War II U S Army veteran. Survivors are his wife Bernice “Bonnie” Rauls Brown whom he married August 3, 1946; 1 son Bill Brown and spouse Mona, Texas City, Texas; 1 grandson Bryan Brown, Texas City, Texas; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday April 24, at Frazer’s Chapel by Rev Jerry Carter and Rev. Neal Pumphrey. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Bill Brown the soloist. Burial was in Prosperity Cemetery near Pansy by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gerald “Scrog” Davidson, Aubert Davis, Charlie Doss, Eddie Wayne Lathan, R.
