Rae P. Harrell age 97 of Harrell, AR died Tuesday December 15th at her home. She was born June 7th, 1918 in (Tatum Flats), Bradley County, AR a daughter of the late Samuel Van Parker and Iva Kate Neal Parker. She was a graduate of the Harrell Public School System, a member of the Harrell United Methodist Church, a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where after graduation she worked for the Extension Agency as a Home Demonstration agent, she retired with 33 years of service from the Hampton Public Schools. She loved watching movies and having birthday parties with her friends. Also preceding her in death was her husband Charles H. Harrell whom she married June 12, 1942 and he died in 1963. Sisters Merle Witherington and Erma Van Parker also preceded her in death. Survivors include 2 daughters Nealya Van Watson and spouse Allen, Harrell, AR and Charla Rae Wright and spouse Billy, Harrell, AR. 7 grandchildren Jamie Watson Shoemaker, North Little Rock, AR, Charles “Chuck” Watson, Magnolia, AR, Jason Oliver, Marblehead, MA, Brittney Malone, Jonesboro, AR, Tim Wright, Millwood, AR, Renee Irby, Millwood, AR, Michelle Efird, Bonnerdale, AR. and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was 1:30PM Friday, December 18th at the Harrell United Methodist Chruch in Harrell, AR with Rev. Charles Perry and Rev. Ricky Smith officiating. Music was by Jack Jones. Arrangements were by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial in Neal Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jason Oliver, Chuck Watson, Parker Nash, Tim Wright, Harrell Trotter, Jim Martin, Josh Trotter and Jacob Trotter. Honorary pallbearers were Ruby Thomason, Jeanet Apple, Martha Jo Nutt and Ozzia Henderson. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Harrell United Methodist Church.
